Park City

All of the resorts in Park City have some kind of summer activity and events. Check out PCMR and The Canyons for general PC activity planning.
For the outdoor-lovers:
- There are alpine slides & coasters, ziplines, bobsleds, and tubing at the Utah Olympic Park.

- If you’re into sight-seeing via mountain biking or hiking, you can “tear it up” or so we’ve heard. You can schedule tours or rent bikes, fishing poles, etc. through Jans experts in mountain recreation.

If you’re not really into the outdoors, you can walk around Main Street in Park City. There are several restaurants, shops, art galleries, and bars. Park City also has decent night life (at least it used to) and there are often events during the summer.

One of our most recommended restaurants in Park City is The High West Distillery & Saloon on Park Ave. Their whiskey is “award-winning and internationally recognized.” True.

Salt Lake City

Hmmm… what is there to do in SLC? We guess you should go see the temple and all the Mormon stuff? They have an homage to Jesus in space!!
Salt Lake does have some great restaurants. If you’re willing to make the travel, here are our favorites:
- Red Iguana is the best restaurant in Salt Lake. It offers great prices, but typically requires an extensive wait. It is worth the wait or you can try their “over flow” Red Iguana 2 restaurant that is usually less time.

- Chanon Thai is the best Thai food in SLC. It’s smaller, and like all good restaurants, most often has a longer wait. Worth it! Make sure to check out their schedule because they’re closed Mondays & Tuesdays.

- Curry Fried Chicken is definitely our most frequented Middle-Eastern joint. Nick always gets the chicken shwarma wrap and Kristina gets the veggie wrap. Both are delicious and we recommend the “hot fry” to go with them.

- The Copper Onion is one of our favorite higher-end restaurants in downtown SLC. Their beef Stroganoff is the best we have ever had!

- The Park Cafe is a hip local spot if you’re around for breakfast or brunch. It’s across from Liberty Park where you can check out Tracy Aviary and spend the day with some birds!
